It’s been a month since I began my new role as a house assistant. My duties include various household chores such as doing the laundry, washing dishes, and preparing snacks. However, my favorite part of the job is cooking for the family. I truly enjoy planning meals for dinner; it feels like I’ve found my calling.
I’ve been immersed in restaurant environments since 2002. Sometimes, it’s simply about the availability of job opportunities. In fact, I don’t mind it one bit. I find it incredibly exciting to possess the knowledge of drink preparation and to tackle various challenges that arise each day. Collaborating with others is often enjoyable and intriguing, especially when we make an effort to see the positive qualities in each person. At least, that’s how I feel.
Regardless, I’ve recently discovered immense joy in meal planning and cooking for the family I’m assisting.
It may seem small, but preparing a snack plate for everyone after they come home from school brings me a lot of joy. I include their favorite fruits and a few extras, pouring love and happiness into every creation.

In just one to two hours, I whip up their dinner. Most of the time, they have a variety of protein options for me to choose from when deciding what to prepare. I sometimes go shopping for additional ingredients to incorporate into the meals I plan to create.

I believe it’s essential to know how to utilize what you have to create meals that are both delicious and nutritious for the entire family. Doing so not only benefits the family budget but also promotes self-sufficiency.
In the near future, I envision starting something that allows me to be my own boss while helping others, particularly in the area of meal planning.
If any of you are thinking along the same lines, I’d love for you to share your thoughts with me and everyone else here. I’ve come to realize that I don’t utilize WordPress as much as I could, so thank you, WordPress, for being such a wonderful community resource. I’ll be updating you all on my journey in my next post, so please stay tuned!
